Long story short, Elder Hann left a kind note to Elder Busath and placed it on his office door. Others thought that it was a great idea and followed suit. Before we knew it the practice had gotten out of hand and became a full on competition. The winner was...
Elder Busath-he loved it and plans to post his "love" notes in the garage.
On Wednesday, April 28th the Idaho Boise Mission held their annual
Special Sisters Meeting.
It was a wonderful day filled with uplifting talks,
inspiring musical numbers and great advice.
As always we are on the look out for new housing opportunities for our missionaries.
Transfers is May 9th and we still have three more to find-
talk about a faith promoting experience!
We can't wait until all the building is done so that we can finally pull out of our driveway safely and oh and meet our new neighbors of course.
We decided to have lunch at Panda Express.
Guess who else showed up just in time for a free lunch?
As a result we got busy trying out our "green thumbs" at landscaping.
Got curbs? Neither do we but we are planning to get some in the near future.
Remember that song, "It never rains in California?"
Well the sun never goes down in Idaho!
6 hours later, dirty, tired and pretty pleased at the results, even if we are struggling a little bit today getting around.
A central point of Alma 32 is that of having faith in the word of God. Alma observed that when the word of God is planted in the fertile soil of the heart, it will begin to swell and grow. Through experimenting upon the word, or nurturing it through obedience, the word of God will bring forth fruit that is most precious, sweet above all that is sweet, white above all that is white, and pure above all that is pure. Neglecting the word of God will result in no such fruit.
How do we nurture our faith in the word so that we may feast upon this fruit? President Joseph Fielding Smith (1876–1972) taught, “If we want to have a living, abiding faith, we must be active in the performance of every duty as members of this Church” (Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954–56], 2:311).
