March 25, 2017 Our Major Challenge

"And now I say unto you, all you that are desirous to follow the voice of the good shepherd, come ye out from the wicked, and be ye separate, and touch not their unclean things."
Alma 5:57

Last week was the Idaho Boise Mission's Zone Conferences
and here are just a few of the highlights:

This Easter season, the Church is inviting the world to find the inner peace that comes from the life and teachings of the Savior Jesus Christ through its “Prince of Peace” initiative.

Appropriately timed to coincide with Holy Week—from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, April 9–16—the purpose of the “Prince of Peace” initiative is threefold:
  • Invite all to come unto Christ.
  • Learn principles of peace from the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
  • Share ways to find peace through the Savior.
We, in the mission, will be inviting all to come unto Christ and you can too!
Beginning March 31, visit the “Prince of Peace” website on mormon.org to watch the 2:33-minute video illustrating the role of Jesus Christ as the “Prince of Peace,” and then invite others to do the same.

Lucky us-we just happened to run into two of our favorite Idaho Boise returned missionaries, Sister Kappel from Arizona and Sister Rabello from Utah.
Obedience with exactness!
We asked that our missionaries organize themselves and create a house of order.

Our major challenge is to live in the world without being of the world.
President Thomas S. Monson warns us that in this day in which we live, the flood waters of immorality, irresponsibility, and dishonesty lap at the moorings of our individual lives.  If we do not safeguard those moorings, if we do not have deeply entrenched foundations to withstand such eroding influences, we are going to be difficulty.

So what can we do???

Watch the 187th Annual General Conference
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

Conference provides an opportunity to receive personal revelation as living prophets give counsel and direction.

The general sessions for individuals and families will be Saturday and Sunday, April 1st and 2nd, at 10:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m. (MDT)

We will be watching conference, how about you?
